Get the Right Golf Ball for Your Game

There are so many different kinds of golf balls available today, how do you know which one is right for you? With some many brands and so many different kinds of golfers, it can be confusing. If you keep these simple tips in mind, you will be able to decide which one is the best for your golf game.

Deciding on your type of golf ball may depend on what kind of swing you have high speed or low speed. If you have high-speed swing you will want a low compression ball, it will go further. If you have a slow swing, you will want to go with a high compression ball to get the most distance. High compression balls are often made for more experienced golfers as well and may cost more than others.

If you are a more experienced golfer, you may need a golf ball with a thicker cover. Golf balls come in up to four layers! Balls with more layers are often designed with players with faster swings in mind. A faster swing usually comes hand in hand with a more experienced player. Two layer balls are used by 60 to 70 percent of golfers; this may do the trick if you are just starting out.

You will want to know how much spin you need and if you are a capable enough golfer to know how to put spin on your ball. This requires practice and determination. The thicker the outer covering and the type of material that it is made of determines the kind of spin you will be able to get out of the ball. Urethane covers are the choice of almost all golfers; they give a nice feel so you can spin your ball.

You can always use used balls and try them out, but if you want to get the most out of your game you will want a brand new ball. If you use a used ball in an important game of golf, a simple nick or scratch can throw off your whole game.

If you are not an experience player, you do not need to go all out and buy expensive golf balls. These are designed for players that need to put spin on their ball and get the most distance but you will need to know how to use them as well. If you are beginner or even a player who is not concerned with winning the big tournament do not waste your money.

Do not be fooled into believing that you have to have a top of the line ball to get the most out of your game. You can be a good golfer if you do some research and find out what kind of ball will suit your game. Do some research, consider your options and go with the ball that you find that will give you the advantage over your competitors. Maybe someday you will have to buy pro balls.
