Are Taylor Made Golf Clubs For You?

TaylorMade is an American company formed in the late 1970's. Independently owned until it was purchased by Adidas in the late '90's, it is one of the most popular golf equipment companies. In 2006, it even hit the $1 Billion mark in sales and is well regarded by professional golfers among the PGA such as Masters winner Mike Weir and Spanish golfer Sergio Garcia. Taylor Made offers a wide variety of golf clubs, balls and even clothing. They are tailored to a wide array of players, including women. Although they are known for their drivers, Taylormade also makes fairway clubs, wedges, irons and putters.

Taylor Made irons are currently available in six different models. The Burner is designed for long and straight shots with a high MOI and COR. Each length in the set is distinctly different in distance and its innovative technology helps to achieve consistency in each and every shot. The Burner has a patented cone which is inverted to help shots that are off-center maintain their distance. Its thin sole helps to reduce drag.

The Taylor Made Burner Plus is an easy to play club with a lightweight grip and light shaft which gives the player the ability to swing even faster.

The Tour Preferred iron has a large sweet spot and a traditional design and a stable feel since the weight is distributed to the toe and heel. The cavity is created to minimize vibration but still offers a great sound and feel.

Another Tour quality Taylor Made iron is the Tour Burner. It has a multi-purpose sole that sets this set of irons apart. It is beveled to perform like a thinner sole, but has the playing power for powerful shots. This is also due in part to its extremely thin (2.2 mm) club face.

Taylor Made putters are not only great performers, but they have fun names too. Take, for instance, the Rossa Monza Itsy Bitsy Spider putter. It also looks as fun as its name sounds, with its contemporary mallet design with smaller head. It also has weights that you can move in order to create the optimum weight for your putt. The Rossa Monza Spider TaylorMade putter is larger than its itsy bitsy cousin. The Spider also has the movable weights as well as a patented insert to offer a smooth roll off the putt. The wire frame aides to decrease any potential for twisting.

Another Taylor Made putter that is for the more traditional golfer is the Rossa Core Classics. These are more classic-looking than the Spider line. They come in different shapes such as the Daytona, Lambeau and Fontana. Depending on your preference, you can get the Core Classics in either a mallet or blade design.

If you are looking for a classic tour-quality TaylorMade putter, then try the TP by KiaMa. This carbon putter has been perfectly weighted to place the sweet spot directly in front of the center of gravity. Tungsten weights give it a great feel.
